I discovered my passion for massage back when I was about 7 years old. My grandfather would pay me a quarter to give him a back massage. I think he always looked forward to my visits to grandma and grandpa's house! Even at that young of an age, I loved the fact that he needed me to ease his pain.
After obtaining my degree in Business Management, I was very unfulfilled working behind a computer with little movement and personal contact. I have always been passionate about my own health and wellness and felt a need to help others. Being accepted to MTTI Wellspring changed my life. After being accepted into their Massage Therapy program, I realized that I loved giving massage treatments more than I ever thought I would. I can think of no job as rewarding than easing the pain of someone. The satisfaction that I feel when seeing the results of my work, is indescribable. When I can ease or even dissipate the discomfort of someone who has been in pain for weeks, months, or even years...is a great feeling. I am a member of the Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals and am Nationally Certified in Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork.
I believe that everyone has an "inner physician." My goal is to work with that inner physician to help a client facilitate their own healing process. If we learn to communicate with our bodies instead of against them, we see that we can maintain balance and be at ease, rather than be with dis-ease. Emotions not expressed are buried alive; emotions buried alive, never die; and these emotions manifest into dis-ease. I look forward to helping you on your journey to a fulfilled balance of body, mind, and spirit.
Namaste!
